This Year's Model Updates:

For the 2015 Lexus RX 350, the 7-inch display screen and a rearview camera are now standard equipment. LED headlights and foglights are new options, and the Remote Touch knob has been revised for better ergonomics. Also, a new Crafted Line trim level has been added to the lineup with specialized paint and interior trim.

Pros:
  • Quiet and attractive cabin with high-quality materials
  • Generous standard features.
  • Plush ride
  • Comfortable rear seating
Cons:
  • Lackluster F Sport version.
  • No third-row seat option
  • Finicky-to-use electronics interface

  • Car is okay - 2015 Lexus RX 350

I had an Audi Q5 which was tight, peppy, and had the driving experience of a German engineered car. The Lexus is a completely different driving experience. Im not sure yet if I like it or not. I did love the Audi!

  • Misleading Fuel Economy - 2015 Lexus RX 350

I had a 2006 RX 350 for 10 years and absolutely loved it. I wanted to purchase the Volvo SUV but my husband convinced me to stick with Lexus since we had such a great experience previously. Unfortunately this 2015 RX350 is no that great. The navigation is very annoying and takes so long to enter an address, I prefer to use the map app on my iphone so can can just say the address and off I go. I really miss my armrest... I know its something most people dont care about but I like to have an armrest where it meets my elbow. My biggest complaint is the gas economy. Its supposed to range from a minumum of 18 MPG local. It only gets 14 MPG on average!!! which is worse than the V8 Ford Explorer Limited that I had from the 90s. This is a huge gas guzzler - thank goodness the gas prices have gone down. On a positive note, I love the seats, they are very comfortable with beautiful color option of "saddle"... or brown. Its very roomy and looks great. The service from Lexus is also always top notch.

  • Highlander has better interior and ride - 2015 Lexus RX 350

This review is based on a test drive, not ownership. Shopping for a mid-sized, crossover for the wife to replace her 15 year old Sequoia. The kids are grown so it was time to move down on size and up in luxury. I really thought the RX would be a great fit. The wife wants a Toyota as we have had great experience with them from a reliability standpoint but she wants something easier to handle in parking lots (which would be damn near anything compared to the Sequoia). We dont like the wild styling of the new RX so we went to look at CPO 2015s. As soon as we got in, we were both taken back. Everything I read talked about the quality of the interior materials. Huh? Where are they looking? I saw a sea of cheap looking, hard plastic. The door panels were just slabs of plastic as was most of the dash. The Sequoia has a much nicer interior. Then we drove it. I didnt expect a sports sedan, or even an engaging driving experience but this was horrible. It wallowed around turns and floated over undulations like it was on springs with no damping. Disappointed, we went down the street to the Toyota dealer to check out the Highlander. What a difference. The interior was much nicer, with nice, soft simulated leather covering the dash and soft inserts in the door panels. And it drove much better, handling seemed secure and bumps smoothed out. I just amazes me that for these two corporate cousins, the Toyota drives better and has a more luxurious interior for a lot less money than the Lexus.

  • Luxurious but Dissapointing - 2015 Lexus RX 350

I had a RX 300 and then a RX 350, 2009, both of which I loved. They drove like a car and felt like a car, but had the extra room of an SUV. A true crossover car. However, this car is bigger and feels like youre driving a boat. It drives like a large SUV, which I did not want. I cant even see over the hood very well and the seats are up as far as they can go, so now, I have an extra seat cushion. So much for the heated and air conditioned seats. The 2009 was much more comfortable. I really miss the arm rest in the 2009. I make a shake in the morning and now, the cup holders are even smaller!!! I know this is a little thing, but it only holds a water bottle, not my shaker bottle! Why? Why, Lexus, would you make this change? Very inconvenient. The navigation is really slow and painful to use, and does not respond well to voice activation. I also miss the 6 CD changer. The mouse pad is difficult to use, especially when you are driving. Also, there are no guide lines with the back up camera. My husbands new Jeep Cherokee has them, but the Lexus doesnt??? Bottom line, it feels like a full size SUV and the 2016s are even bigger. I wont buy another one of these. They had a wonderful car with the RX 300. I wish I had another one. Lexus pretty much ruined the RX 350 now. Its a shame. And the new 2016s are pretty ugly with that front end grill they have. It doesnt even look safe. Lexus, what are you thinking????
